Geneva, 5 February 2015 – MSC Cruises has customized four of its 12 ships to welcome travellers to see in the Chinese New Year this month, aboard MSC Splendida, MSC Divina, MSC Fantasia and MSC Orchestra, sailing in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and the Emirates respectively.
In 2015, Chinese New Year’s Day falls on 19 February, marking the official start of the Year of the Goat. MSC Cruises is offering the perfect way to celebrate this moment in style, through special activities, services and entertainments aboard five separate sailings, on 15 and 22 February (MSC Splendida), 21 February (MSC Divina), 20 February (MSC Fantasia) and 14 February (MSC Orchestra).
Chinese chefs will produce first-class authentic cuisine befitting the event, the casino staff will be ready to provide introductions to China’s favourite card game, baccarat, and guests can try their hand at the ancient tile-based game mahjong.
MSC Cruises has offered Chinese New Year cruises for three years, with each new edition drawing more attention from travellers from all around the world.
In 2014 there were just two departures, but such is their current popularity that MSC Cruises has more than doubled that this year, with MSC Splendida sailing in the Mediterranean on 15 and 22 February; MSC Fantasia also sailing in the Med, on 20 February; MSC Divina sailing in the Caribbean from 21 February, and MSC Orchestra sailing in the Emirates and Oman from 14 February.
Today, MSC is the top cruise line in China for outbound cruises, and the cruise line of choice for Chinese travellers who want to see in the New Year in an exciting, original yet stylish way.
