BOTULINUM AND DERMAL FILLER TREATMENTS NOW AVAILABLE ON ALL MSC CRUISES SHIPS THUS ENHANCING THE LINE’S BEAUTY TREATMENT OFFERING ACROSS ITS FLEET

12/08/2016

Geneva, Switzerland, 29 July– MSC Cruises S.A., the world’s largest privately-owned global cruise line and market leader in Europe – including in the Mediterranean – and in South America announced today plans for enhancing its already rich beauty and care offer available to guests on its fleet, by adding targeted winkle treatments with Botulinum and dermal fillertreatments with hyaluronic acid.

Guests on the 12 ships of the MSC Cruises fleet will now have the opportunity to indulge on a range of targeted wrinkle and dermal filler treatments in a completely secure environment with doctors who have received specialised and exhaustive training, another way for the Company to distinguish itself in the best-in-class experience it provides its guests during their holidays.

MSC Aurea spas across the fleet – from July onwards – will add to their vast array of services the two following treatments: targeted wrinkle treatments with Botulinum and dermal filler treatments with hyaluronic acid. The former - targeted wrinkle treatments – focuses on forehead and frown lines as well crow’s feet. These non-surgical interventions reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles in the upper face, resulting in relaxed, more youthful-looking skin. Their rejuvenating effects are visible within days and can be expected to last up to four months. The latter – dermal filler treatments – targets smile, lip and marionette lines and can be used for lip enhancement. Each of these treatments takes advantage of hyaluronic acid, a substance that occurs naturally in the skin, to smooth, soften and replace lost volume, restoring a youthful radiance to the lower face. The results are immediate and typically last up to ten months.

An MSC Aurea Spa is an integral part of an MSC Cruises and contribute to create a unique and distinctive experience aboard. Additionally to the range of beauty care products and treatments readily available across the MSC Cruises fleet, MSC Aurea Spas are the perfect heaven needed to bring relaxation to an even higher level.

All ships on MSC Cruises’ fleet benefit from the unique MSC Aurea Spa, a truly authentic Balinese moment of bliss at sea with treatments and beauty facilities - where expert hands and exotic floral scents transport guests to a world of sensual pleasure and inner calm. A wide array of beauty treatments for men and women are readily available to MSC guests, wishing to benefit from exceptional pampering and relaxation as part of their MSC Cruises holiday experience.
Within an MSC Aurea Spa, guests are looked after by expert Balinese masseuses, beauty therapists, manicurists, pedicurists, hair stylists, and a dedicated spa doctor. Bringing them all together for MSC travellers, MSC Cruises created a series of special pampering spa experiences that will make a cruise much more than a holiday but also the perfect rejuvenating break. In addition, it is equipped with a state-of the-art gym with personal trainers and yoga instructors to help those who wish it.

Earlier this month MSC Cruises made the headlines when it announced that, as of December 2015, it will be the first global cruise line to offer travellers the opportunity to visit Cuba and set sail on one of the 16 cruises that MSC Opera will operate from Havana. MSC Cruises will give cruise travellers from around the world the unique chance to get aboard the completely renovated 65,542 GRT MSC Opera, part of the Company’s €200 million Renaissance programme, and cruise to Jamaica, the Cayman Islands and Mexico with two nights and two and a half days in the Cuban capital.

MSC Cruises is an ambitious young line that grew 800% in its first 10 years to become the fourth largest cruise company in the industry. The Company is set to double its fleet capacity by 2022, through a €5.1 billion investment plan, which includes orders for seven ships in two state-of-the-art prototypes.
Of these ships, MSC Cruises recently also announced the opening of sales for MSC Meraviglia’s inaugural cruises – the Company’s first new-generation ship, which is part of the above-mentioned investment plan. As of June 2017, the ship will sail in the Mediterranean from Barcelona, Genoa or Marseille. The second next-generation ship currently under construction, MSC Seaside will on the other hand sail year-round in the Caribbean starting in December 2017.
