FUN & TAILORED ACTIVITIES FOR EVERYONE
Geneva, 08 May 2014 International Day of Families 2014 is an occasion to celebrate the importance of families to people, societies and cultures around the world, as recognised by the United Nations since 1993. Families and friends across the MSC Cruises fleet will enjoy a series of special events and offers to mark the occasion.
Bring out the champions!
With a fun-filled “Family Olympic Games” taking place on each ship, parents, grandparents, children and various friends and relatives can create teams and compete in swimming and table tennis competitions, football and basketball tournaments, relay races, table football competitions and many more events designed to test the skills of each generation and provide a thrilling experience to everyone.
Unleash intergenerational talents
Children and parents can unleash their talents together – whether acting, dancing or sporting - to become the stars of the special Doremi Live Family Edition, before heading to the disco and enjoying the fabulous Doremix Family Edition Disco, with 5 top hit songs selected by children.
The master chef in each family can now prove themselves once and for all in a culinary show-down, as mums and dads compete with their children to create the finest treat with the Doremi Chef “Kids vs. Parents” challenge.
Treats for the whole family
Finally, while mum and dad celebrate the occasion with their favourite cocktail, MSC Cruises will give children a fruit juice or an ice cream, so that the kids can join in the fun for free! In addition, there are also special deals at MSC Aurea Spa, to enjoy a relaxing day at sea.
Meet the DOREMI family
This year, the Doremi family has expanded and MSC Cruises is happy to introduce the new mascots of the fleet, present on all 12 ships: Dorebaby (mascot for children under the age of 3), Mila and Dorebro (mascot for boys and girls from 7 to 11) and of course Doremi, the kid’s club mascot.
Kids’ club staff have been busy preparing events and have created a number of fun activities involving MSC Cruises’ Doremi family. Also note that children and parents can meet the mascots in each activity.
Activities will vary depending on the weather conditions and each ship’s unique facilities.
