Geneva, Switzerland, 8 August 2024 - MSC Cruises has added MSC Splendida as its sixth ship to be based in South America for the winter 24/25 season to meet the growing demand for cruising in the continent.
The vessel will join MSC Armonia, MSC Grandiosa, MSC Orchestra, MSC Poesia and MSC Seaview.
MSC Splendida will sail from her homeport in Santos, Brazil, on seven-night itineraries calling the Argentinian capital city, Buenos Aires, the seaside city of Punta Del Este in Uruguay and either Balneario Camboriu or Itajai in Brazil’s Santa Catarina region.
Weekly sailings will depart between 13 December 2024 and 21 March 2025.
MSC Cruises’ guests now have more than 120 sailings to choose from in South America, which further strengthens the brands’ position as market leader on the continent.
The cruise line continues to work with local governments, ports, partners and suppliers to invest in South America, one which is strategically important to the company’s global strategy.
MSC Splendida can accommodate up to 4,363 passengers and features the MSC Yacht Club – a premium ‘ship within a ship’ concept with 71 spacious suites, a dedicated concierge desk, 24-hour butler service, private restaurant, swimming pool and sunbathing area.
The ship also offers 75 per cent of cabins with balconies, a range of themed bars and dining venues including specialty Mediterranean and American steak house restaurants, four swimming pools, The Strand Theatre for nighttime entertainment, Club 33 nightclub, an ultramodern gym, squash court and running track.
