Geneva, Switzerland – 15 June 2026– MSC Cruises has released new images of its upcoming flagship MSC World Asia, highlighting one of the ship ’s most distinctive onboard experiences – The Spiral @ Tree of Life, set to become the longest dry slide at sea.
Currently under construction at Chantiers de l'Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, the new flagship will begin Mediterranean cruises from 4 December 2026, offering seven-night itineraries to some of the Mediterranean’s most popular destinations, including Barcelona, Marseille, Messina, Civitavecchia for Rome, Naples and Valletta.
At the heart of The Harbour – the revolutionary outdoor park where families can come together to engage in activities, indulge in delicious bites and soak up the sun–the Tree of Life will become a visual landmark and social hub where guests can gather before exploring the ship. From here, a unique elevated walkway wraps around the Tree of Life, leading guests toThe Spiral @Tree of Life, the longest dry slide at sea.
Stretching 81.3 metres across 12 decks, the Spiral offers a fast and memorable way for guests to move around the ship while enjoying a unique onboard attraction designed for all ages. It links directly to the World Promenade, a key space for ocean views, dining, entertainment and relaxation.
In the evening, the Tree of Life becomes a focal point of onboard entertainment, enhanced by integrated lighting, music and activities that create an energetic atmosphere for families and groups.
Rising nearly 10 metres above the deck and weighing close to eight tons, the Tree of Life is equipped with over 150 metres of integrated LED lighting, allowing its atmosphere and energy to evolve throughout the day.
Tying into the ship’s broader Asia-inspired elements, the Tree of Life is inspired by the identity of contemporary Asian citiesand the iconic Supertrees of Singapore’s Marina Bay.
